The Lamborghini Revuelto Super Veloce has been unveiled at Monterey Car Week in California as the most powerful production Lamborghini ever built.
Limited to just 1,963 examples, the number references Lamborghini’s founding year when the former tractor manufacturer launched the elegant 350 GT.
The Revuelto SV generates a combined 1,065hp from its V12 plug-in hybrid drivetrain, enabling a 0-62mph time of just 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 214mph.
In the hands of Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli, the SV has already claimed a road-car lap record at the Hockenheimring circuit in Germany.
The SV badge carries significant heritage, having always been reserved for V12-powered Lamborghinis dating back to the original Miura SV produced between 1971 and 1973.
Previous holders of the Super Veloce name include the 510hp Diablo SV of 1996, the 670hp Murcielago SV of 2009, and the 750hp Aventador SV that debuted in 2015.
The drivetrain combines a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with two axial flux electric motors on the front axle and a single radial flux motor above the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 7.3 kWh lithium-ion battery has almost doubled in size compared to the standard Revuelto, delivering a monstrous 1,051lb ft of torque across the rev range.
Total downforce is up 80 percent versus a regular Revuelto and 10 percent compared to the Aventador SVJ, with doubled front downforce achieved through angled fins and a jutting splitter.
Design director Mitja Borkert says the extensive carbon fibre bodywork “emphasizes the car’s wider stance, precision and dramatic presence,” complemented by motorsport-style centre-lock alloy wheels.
New CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes feature 420mm front discs and reduce stopping distances by 11 percent, bringing the car to a standstill from 124mph in just 110 metres.
A new Pilota mode, accessed via a racing-helmet-graphic button on the steering wheel, allows drivers to toggle between five levels of traction control, stability control, and anti-lock braking.
Alessandro Farmeschi, product line director for the Revuelto, describes the new Pilota mode as “the icing on the SV cake,” likening it to systems used in Lamborghini’s racing cars.
Bridgestone Potenza Race R tyres are paired with manually adjustable dampers, with Lamborghini offering suggested settings tailored to flat, bumpy, and wet circuit conditions.
Despite its larger battery and new aerodynamic package, the SV maintains a dry weight of 1,772kg, matching the standard Revuelto while delivering 50hp more than its predecessor.
