Tesla Hikes Cybertruck Cyberbeast Price by $15,000 for US Market Despite Sales Struggles

The Cyberbeast variant, now priced at $114,990, comes with a new “Luxe Package” that includes Supervised Full Self-Driving technology and free access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.

Tesla has raised the price of its most expensive Cybertruck model by $15,000 in the United States, even as sales figures fall short of expectations and quality issues continue to plague the futuristic pickup.

The Cyberbeast variant, now priced at $114,990, comes with a new “Luxe Package” that includes Supervised Full Self-Driving technology and free access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.

Prices for other Cybertruck trims remain unchanged.

Rising prices and unmet promises

The increase comes despite Tesla’s earlier messaging around affordability.

When CEO Elon Musk first announced the Cybertruck in 2019, he suggested a starting price around $40,000.

By the time the truck finally launched in late 2023, the base model was set at $60,990 — already more than 50% higher than the original target.

With the latest hike, the premium Cyberbeast is nearly triple the entry price Musk initially pitched.

Competitive landscape

Rival electric pickups such as Ford’s F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet’s Silverado EV offer lower entry points on certain trims, adding competitive pressure.

Tesla has also been offering discounts of about $10,000 on some Cybertruck inventory, signaling uneven demand.

Industry analysts say the higher prices could deter buyers already weighing alternatives.

Production challenges

Tesla has touted the Cybertruck as a key part of its growth, with Musk stating the company could eventually manufacture up to 250,000 units annually.

However, production ramp-up has been slow and plagued by setbacks.

The Cybertruck has been subject to multiple recalls, raising questions about build quality.

In March, Tesla recalled around 46,000 Cybertrucks built between November 2023 and February 2025, highlighting the scale of the problem.

While Tesla does not disclose delivery numbers for the model, analysts believe total sales remain far below capacity.

Outlook

Despite the obstacles, Musk has continued to promote the Cybertruck as a flagship product capable of reshaping the EV market.

Yet with repeated recalls, elevated pricing, and increased competition, the road ahead looks challenging.

The pricing strategy, coupled with quality concerns, suggests Tesla may be betting on brand loyalty rather than mass adoption to carry the Cybertruck forward.
