ViiV Healthcare, the global specialist HIV company majority owned by GSK (GSK), has launched a new multichannel campaign called “Do It For Future You” aimed at encouraging people to act on their health today.
The campaign pushes individuals to speak with their healthcare providers about long-acting injectable HIV prevention and treatment options currently available to patients.
At its core, the campaign argues that the small health decisions people make today will directly determine which life milestones they get to experience in the future.
Creative executions centre on interconnected vignettes depicting time spent with family, friends, and loved ones, grounding HIV care decisions in everyday human experience.
The campaign is designed to position choices about HIV treatment and prevention as a genuine investment in the person an individual will become over time.
“We really want people to see themselves in those moments and think about how all the different moments that we experience make up who we are today and who we are in the future,” said Bithiah Lafontant, head of enterprise communications at ViiV.
The campaign was created in partnership with GCI Health and Versus, and spans digital and social media, influencer content, and a dedicated educational website at ForFutureU.com.
ViiV will also deploy out-of-home advertising in Atlanta and Los Angeles, timed to appear ahead of the United States Conference on HIV/AIDS in mid-September.
Atlanta was a deliberate market choice, given that the city carries one of the highest HIV rates in the country and is among jurisdictions prioritised under the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative.
The campaign website was also built with artificial intelligence search behaviour in mind, reflecting how consumers increasingly obtain health information without clicking through to individual webpages.
ViiV Healthcare is majority owned by GSK, with Shionogi holding a minority stake, and operates as a dedicated global specialist focused exclusively on HIV prevention and treatment.
The “Do It For Future You” push marks one of the more prominent consumer-facing HIV campaigns in recent memory, leaning on emotional storytelling to move people toward clinical conversations with their doctors.
