Caris Life Sciences (NASDAQ: CAI) has launched a national advertising campaign called “Math,” starring award-winning actor, producer and director Kevin Costner.
The campaign is designed to raise public awareness about the importance of early cancer detection and to introduce audiences to the company’s Caris Detect blood test.
Caris Detect is a multi-cancer early detection test that analyses cancer-associated molecular signals in the bloodstream using advanced biological science.
The test combines ultra-deep Whole Genome Sequencing, Whole Transcriptome Sequencing, and artificial intelligence to analyse a broad range of signals associated with cancer.
By evaluating the entire genome and transcriptome, Caris Detect aims to offer a more comprehensive molecular view than tests that examine only a limited subset of biomarkers.
The campaign’s central message is straightforward: finding cancer earlier may give patients more treatment options and improved outcomes.
Costner chose to partner with Caris because of the company’s mission to transform healthcare through earlier detection and advanced molecular science, according to the company.
“Cancer has touched so many families, including people I know and care about,” said Kevin Costner, reflecting on his reasons for joining the campaign.
David Dean Halbert, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Caris Life Sciences, underscored the broader significance of the initiative for patients across the country.
“Early detection remains one of the greatest opportunities to save lives,” said Halbert, framing the campaign as part of a wider effort to improve healthcare outcomes nationwide.
Caris Detect is now available across the United States and is intended to complement, rather than replace, routine cancer screening programmes.
The test is powered by molecular science and artificial intelligence, aiming to identify cancer-associated signals in the blood before symptoms appear in patients.
By giving individuals earlier access to health information, Caris says it hopes to empower people to take a more proactive role in managing their own healthcare.
The “Math” campaign represents a significant marketing push for Caris Life Sciences as it looks to expand awareness of multi-cancer early detection testing among a broad national audience.
