Source: Bayer Leverkusen involved in ‘advanced talks’ over Noah Mbamba signing

Noah Mbamba currently plays for Club Brugge in the Belgian First Division A, but a move to the Bundesliga appears to be imminent.

Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen are keen to sign Noah Mbamba from Club Brugge in the winter transfer window, a source told London Insider on Monday.

The source told this publication that Bayer Leverkusen are “strongly interested” in securing the 18-year-old’s services, and they are already in “advanced talks” with Club Brugge.

“Xabi [Alonso] thinks Mbamba is exactly whom Leverkusen need to sign this winter,” the source told London Insider.

“He is young, has an abundance of potential, and will certainly bolster Leverkusen’s defence.”

Mbamba made his senior debut for Club Brugge at the age of 16, and he is considered to be one of the most promising young talents in the Belgian First Division A.

It’s unclear at this juncture, however, if Club Brugge are willing to let the teenager depart. In the event that they’re not prepared to sell Mbamba, Club Brugge may be amenable to a loan deal.
