Biden Speaks to Zelenskiy About ‘Victory Plan’ as Ukraine War Drags On

The White House also announced a new $425 million military aid package as part of these efforts.

U.S. President Joe Biden spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Wednesday to discuss ongoing efforts to provide Ukraine with increased security assistance.

The White House also announced a new $425 million military aid package as part of these efforts.

The aid package includes air defense capabilities, air-to-ground munitions, armored vehicles, and other critical munitions, according to a White House statement.

Zelenskiy expressed his gratitude on Telegram, thanking Biden, both parties in Congress, and the American people for their continued support. During the call, Zelenskiy also discussed Kyiv’s five-point “victory plan,” which he had earlier presented to Ukraine’s parliament.

“I proposed considering the possibility of joint weapons production,” Zelenskiy stated. He also emphasized the need for additional training for Ukrainian soldiers, which was discussed during his conversation with Biden.

In his message, Zelenskiy further thanked the United States for its commitment to helping Ukraine strengthen its military positions, adding that this would push Russia towards engaging in “honest diplomacy.”
