According to Tim Sherwood, Ryan Mason would be a better temporary manager for Tottenham right now than Cristian Stellini.
Sherwood criticised the fact that Cristian Stellini has Spurs playing in the same manner they have for a considerable amount of time under Antonio Conte when he was speaking on Premier League Productions about Spurs’ present identity.
Stellini’s status as the interim manager of Tottenham is obviously unpopular with Sherwood, who claimed that Ryan Mason would have been a much better pick.
On Stellini and Mason, Sherwood rendered a judgement.
“Tottenham seem to win the big games, but they’re without a manager. Stellini is in there as the interim manager, I can’t understand why he is still there.
“He’s a Conte man, they’re still playing the same way. Ryan Mason would have tweaked it and he would have took care of it. He would have played with more adventure,” Sherwood said.
When Conte was recuperating from surgery, the Italian filled in admirably.
Stellini, however, is struggling more now than he did before.
Spurs have earned four points from their last three games under the 48-year-old.
Additionally, they recently suffered a particularly demoralising 3-2 setback to Bournemouth, who are fighting for their playoff lives.
Arnaut Danjuma of Tottenham tied the score at 2-2 on the 88th minute mark, but Dango Ouattara scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time.
