Death of 20-year-old woman in Liverpool linked to teenager

Police were alerted to an address in Quarry Green, Northwood, on Thursday at around 4.40 p.m., when Courtney Boorne was discovered in a critical state.

A 20-year-old woman died during a “disturbance” at a residence in Liverpool, according to police, and a teenager has been charged with murder.

Despite the best efforts of rescue personnel, she was subsequently declared dead after being brought to the hospital.

The woman’s next of kin are being helped, according to Merseyside Police, and a post mortem will be performed to ascertain the cause of death.

Following her passing, Liam Cain, 19, was detained and is now facing murder charges. He has been remanded in custody with a Wednesday court appearance scheduled.

After Ms. Boorne’s passing, Detective Inspector Laura Lamping stated: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family”

“This inquiry is still in its very early stages, and our officers are trying to figure out exactly what transpired,” said the spokesperson.

“While we have already made an arrest, our enquiries continue in the area and we would appeal to anyone with any information on this tragic incident to please come forward and speak with our officers.”

Ms. Boorne’s family stated on a GoFundMe page that they are still processing her passing.

“We are in total disbelief last night we got the worst news about the murder and still trying to come to terms with what’s happened and due to it being on Christmas Eve it’s been very difficult for all of the family and would appreciate every penny you can donate”, they said.
