The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched a new email subscription feature on September 15, 2026, designed to help pesticide users stay current with Endangered Species Act requirements.
The feature has been added to the agency’s Bulletins Live! Two web page, enabling pesticide users and other stakeholders to receive quicker updates directly from the BLT system.
EPA states it developed this feature in direct response to requests from pesticide users who asked for better access to BLT updates, reflecting growing demand for more timely regulatory communication.
Whenever Endangered Species Act requirements are updated within the BLT system, subscribed users will receive an email containing the latest information relevant to their area and activities.
Bulletins Live! Two is a web-based EPA application that provides geographically specific pesticide use limitations designed to protect threatened and endangered species and their critical habitats.
The tool forms a central part of EPA’s Endangered Species Protection Program, and pesticide labels regularly direct users to the BLT system for additional area-specific protective measures.
EPA notes that because it continually updates the system, including adding and revising Pesticide Use Limitation Areas for different geographic locations, restrictions for a given product can change at any time.
A pesticide user might not see restrictions for a product today but could encounter new limitations in the future, making timely notification particularly important for compliance purposes.
The new subscription feature will help pesticide users learn about relevant updates in near real time, so they can act quickly and with confidence based on Bulletins Live! Two information delivered directly to them.
Subscribers will receive notifications of major Bulletins Live! Two system updates, announcements of new Pesticide Use Limitation Areas, and alerts about changes to existing Pesticide Use Limitation Areas across different geographic regions.
Under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, EPA regulates the registration and use of chemical compounds, including pesticides, while balancing broader environmental safety considerations.
The subscription service represents a practical step toward closing the information gap between regulatory updates and the agricultural and commercial users who must comply with those changes on the ground.
