Fabrizio Romano questions Tottenham manager rumour

Fabrizio Romano has poured water on the reported signing at Spurs.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has refuted claims that Tottenham Hotspur is considering Will Still for the team’s managerial position.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Romano stated that the new Spurs manager “will not be him.”

Tottenham Hotspur has been searching for a permanent head coach since Antonio Conte’s departure in March. Numerous names have been linked to the position, including Julian Nagelsmann and Vincent Kompany.

Earlier this month, there were reports that Fabio Paratici had met with Still to discuss the Spurs vacancy.

However, Romano expressed doubt over these claims and indicated that Tottenham would likely pursue a different type of manager.

“I don’t know who put that into the media, but I’m not aware of that honestly,” Romano said.

He went on to acknowledge Still’s impressive work in France but insisted that Tottenham would opt for a different manager.
