Faire Hits 100,000 Retailers And 50,000 Brands Across 30 Countries In Five-Year International Push

Wholesale platform Faire has marked five years of trading outside North America, reporting a network spanning more than 100,000 retailers and 50,000 brands across 30-plus countries.

The milestone highlights rapid growth in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with independent retailers spread far beyond major cities and into thousands of smaller towns and communities.

In the UK alone, Faire retailers are now located across 15,000 towns and villages, with the country representing the platform’s largest and most mature European market, where nearly 65 brands have surpassed $1 million in sales.

France accounts for Faire’s broadest geographic reach in Europe, spanning more than 23,000 communes, while Germany’s network now extends across 8,000 municipalities despite a challenging retail environment.

Olivier Buffon, VP and Head of International at Faire, said: “It has been a phenomenal five years for Faire internationally, and the opportunity ahead has never been clearer.”

Buffon added: “Europe represents a retail market comparable in scale to North America, and the challenges Faire was built to solve exist wherever independent retail exists.”

Retailers on the platform are spending significantly more than they were four years ago, with spend per order up 20% and annual spend rising 156% across international markets since 2022.

The number of orders each brand receives has grown by 123% over the same period, while retailer reorders have increased by 30%, with more than one in five new retailer-brand relationships leading to a repeat purchase within 90 days.

Cross-border trade is also accelerating, with 26% of brands on Faire now shipping internationally, exporting to an average of five countries each, a development that has opened new commercial routes for smaller independent businesses.

Max Adorian, chief operating officer at UK-based health soda brand Living Things, said: “Faire quickly became one of our top wholesale channels, helping us reach independent retailers across the UK and internationally that we simply wouldn’t have accessed otherwise.”

Adorian added: “We’ve sold into the US and a number of European countries where we now have major retail distributors,” illustrating how smaller brands are turning the platform into a genuine export engine.

UK brands are primarily exporting to the US, France, and Canada, while French brands are reaching customers in the US, Germany, and Italy, and German brands are building retailer relationships in the US, France, and Switzerland.

To reduce friction in cross-border purchasing, Faire now shows estimated duties at checkout, calculated from each product’s country of origin, allowing retailers to see the full landed cost before committing to an order.

This month, Faire is launching its Promoted Listings wholesale advertising tool to brands across Europe, giving sellers the opportunity to directly target high-intent buyers across 30 countries, having already been adopted by nearly 12,000 brands in the US and Canada.

More than 120 international brands have exceeded $1 million in revenue on the platform, and Faire’s Open with Faire programme has helped almost 5,000 international retailers open their doors since 2021, offering eligible new retailers up to £20,000 in 60-day payment terms.
