During Harry Styles’ acceptance speech when his album defeated Renaissance for Album of the Year, Beyoncé fans voiced their resentment.
For her seventh studio album, the Renaissance creator was a fan favourite to take home the prestigious award.
However, it was the British ex-member of One Direction, Harry’s House, who took home the night’s top prize.
Beyoncé has been nominated for Album of the Year four times throughout her career but has never taken home the prize.
When Styles’ name was announced, the BeyHive responded angrily, believing that this was her year.
Ye famously stormed the stage at the 2009 VMAs as Taylor Swift tried to accept her award for Best Video by a Female Artist, which caused him to go viral.
He grabbed the mic from the bewildered singer and added, “I’mma let you finish, because Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!”
While Harry Styles was addressing the audience, a few Beyoncé stans reacted aggressively and called out her name, but no one took over the stage.
“Beyoncé should have won,” yelled one BeyHive member in a very loud voice.
Beyoncé was the biggest winner of the evening, despite losing out on the Album of the Year category.
With nine nominations, she had the most at the Grammys.
Beyoncé has 32 career wins, making her the most successful Grammys performer of all time thanks to her four victories this year.
