The 46th annual ILTACON is officially underway, bringing together more than 5,300 attendees for one of the legal technology world’s most significant events.
The conference has grown dramatically since its early days, evolving from a small gathering of lawyers in a meeting room into a major industry event spanning dozens of sessions and activities.
ILTA CEO Joy Heath Rush recently joked that the organisation may need to build new hotel rooms to accommodate the surging number of delegates expected this year.
With more than 80 panels and educational sessions on the agenda, the conference reflects just how rapidly the legal technology sector continues to expand and mature.
The day begins with Morning Light-Bites from 7:30 to 9 in the Delta Ballroom Lobby, giving attendees a chance to fuel up before the sessions begin.
The ILTACON Opening Session, featuring keynote speaker Jim Abbott, takes the stage at 9 in Delta Ballroom A, setting the tone for the full conference programme.
Attendees can also take advantage of the Wellness Window, presented by Harvey, running from 10:30 to 3:30, designed to help delegates return to their day feeling refreshed.
The ILTA Authors Corner opens at 10:30 at the Davidson Registration Desk, offering publications from fellow attendees, book signings, and more throughout the day.
A busy midday slate from 11 to 12:30 includes sessions on cybersecurity breach anatomy, AI adoption prompting techniques, passwordless security, eDiscovery spoliation, and an improv-style CLE workshop titled Whose Legal AI Workflow Is It Anyway?
Afternoon sessions from 4 to 5 cover topics ranging from AI tools for neurodiverse minds and modern data lifecycle mapping to integrating generative AI into legal learning frameworks and legal taxonomies in document management systems.
The ILTACON Shuttle Service, presented by Legora, will run between 11 and 9 with pick-up and drop-off at the Magnolia Canopy for delegates moving between venues.
The Ask ILTA desk operates in the Delta BCD Lobby from noon to 8:30, with complimentary official T-shirts and bags available on a first-come, first-served basis alongside the swag shop.
The day concludes with the Exhibit Hall Opening Reception, titled Curtain Up: Showstoppers of Legal Tech, running from 7 to 9 in Ryman A.
