Love Island star asks Laura Woods out to dinner after Arsenal win, but she declines

Charlie Brake, a Love Island star, asked Laura Woods out to dinner after Arsenal's Boxing Day 3-1 victory over West Ham United, but she quickly declined his invitation.

The 35-year-old presenter expressed her admiration for a specific player on Twitter after her beloved Arsenal defeated West Ham 3-1.

Ben White is magic, Laura tweeted to her 662k followers on Boxing Day.

Charlie quickly entered the conversation by answering, “You’re magic,” and adding a wand emoji.

She replied, “Thank you Charlie,” and included three laughing emojis.

Then, when Charlie invited her to dinner, Laura gently declined, adding, “I’m not hungry, but thank you.”

After Laura publically dissed him, fans were left in stitches on the social networking platform and got engaged in the comments.

That is a pie and a half, a person said. “Even if she won’t eat it because she isn’t hungry.”

Another person remarked, “Charlie, aim for the moon, at least if you miss, you’ll land among the table for one, please.”

“Fair play at least that was a gentle let down,” wrote a third.

During his time on Love Island in 2018, Charlie dated Ellie Brown, 22, but their romance didn’t endure outside of the villa.

Although he’s been linked to previous co-stars Megan Barton-Hanson, 26, and Ferne McCann, 30, from TOWIE, he claims that dating has been “tough” since his time on the show.

Owner of the seltzer company Naughty Water, Charlie, admitted: “I find it difficult now.” Girls question my motives and assume that I’m chatting to 10 other girls since “he’s been on Love Island.”
