Lundbeck Expands AI Commercialisation Deal With Eversana To Scale Across Entire US Business

Lundbeck has signed an expanded agreement with Eversana to deploy the company’s AI commercialisation platform more broadly across its entire US commercial organisation.

The brain disease specialist initially used Eversana’s AI-driven workflows for strategic planning, content development and commercial execution before agreeing to significantly widen its scope.

The expanded partnership will now extend AI capabilities into marketing, medical communications, market access and media operations, as well as explore additional use cases.

Eversana’s AI Agency platform is an end-to-end commercialisation tool built on Google Cloud technology, merging agentic AI, advanced automation and human expertise.

The platform is designed to provide a scalable framework for strategy development, content creation and omnichannel engagement across pharmaceutical commercial operations.

Eversana worked with Google to develop the agentic suite, which recently added medical affairs, market research and field sales team engagement to its core marketing agency functions.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone for Eversana, with Lundbeck becoming the first publicly named pharmaceutical partner for the AI Agency platform since its launch a year ago.

“What makes this partnership unique is that we’re not simply introducing AI tools into existing workflows,” said Eversana’s chief innovation officer Faruk Capan.

Chief Executive Officer Mark Thierer added that “the future of commercialization will belong to organizations that successfully combine human expertise with AI-driven execution.”

Throughout the initial phase, the two companies maintained rigorous medical, legal and regulatory review processes alongside the newly introduced AI-driven workflows.

Lundbeck’s US EVP and president Tom Gibbs said the company is focused on building its “bionic capabilities” as part of its broader Focused Innovator R&D strategy.

Gibbs said expanding the Eversana collaboration would allow Lundbeck to “scale bionic capabilities responsibly across our commercial organization, improve the speed and quality of execution and ultimately, help us deliver greater value to our customers and patients while maintaining the high standards that define our business.”

The deal reflects a wider industry trend of pharmaceutical companies turning to AI-powered platforms to accelerate commercial execution and reduce time-to-market across complex drug portfolios.
