According to rumours, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, personally wants to recruit Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer.
With Arsenal and Tottenham apparently interested in signing the Serbian international, Dusan Vlahovic may likely depart Juventus this summer due to his dissatisfaction with the club.
According to CalcioMercato, the 23-year-old striker is considering quitting the Italian powerhouse because he has grown weary of operating in Massimiliano Allegri’s system and has struggled to score goals this season for Juventus.
The Gunners and their transfer coordinator Edu are rumoured to already be making plans for the 2023–2024 Premier League season and to have their sights set on a few recruitment targets.
Youri Tielemans, a midfielder for Leicester City, has been mentioned in reports over the past two weeks as a potential target because his contract is up at the end of this year.
Following their attempts to wrest Vlahovic away from Fiorentina, Arsenal are reportedly listed as a “suitor” for him, with Arteta reportedly being “attracted” to his playing style.
Arteta is supposedly interested since the Spaniard feels that Arsenal’s current roster lacks a player who is similar to him.
The Old Lady are reportedly willing to sell Vlahovic this summer, according to a Gazzetta dello Sport story from last month.
According to La Stampa, Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in the former ACF Fiorentina star, who may cost up to £72 million.
The 23-year-old has scored eight goals and provided two more assists for ten goals this season.
This may not seem like much, but Juventus has had a difficult season overall.
