Nick Cannon has acknowledged that when he was a kid, he had pictures of his future wife Mariah Carey up on his wall.
Cannon, who married the singer in 2008, responded to a question from the US gossip website The Shaderoom by saying: “Like the greatest?
“I mean, I always talk about that. Then it goes viral, and our fans get mad at me.”
“But I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that becomes my wife. And the fact that she’s the coolest person I ever met.”
Cannon, 42, married Carey, 53, in 2008.
He is now the father of 12 children through separate women.
Moroccan and Monroe, are the couple’s two 11 year old twins.
The couple divorced in 2016, following their separation in 2014.
He also gave the We Belong Together actor praise for his upbeat demeanour, saying,”I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her.”
“She’s just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what’s happening in life.
“I’m like, ‘Wow, a person can really operate like that and don’t allow negative energy into their space.’
“When I found out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She’s a gift from God.”
Nevertheless, despite Cannon’s adoration for his ex-wife, it doesn’t seem that she feels the same way about him.
According to reports, Carey is displeased with Cannon’s 10 children from various relationships since their 2016 divorce.
She requested primary custody of her twins in January, claiming the fact that her ex-husband had fathered multiple children as the reason.
