Laura Whitmore’s hosting duties were taken over by Maya. “I’ve always been this massive island of love fan and I am so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s most popular shows!” she said in October, confirming the news.
Whitmore made the announcement that she will be leaving the programme in August, stating that “There are certain elements of the show that I have found very difficult and which cannot be altered due to the format, including flying back and forth to South Africa with my new contradictory projects.”
Meanwhile, Ellie and Jordan were the final contestants eliminated from the villa because they received the fewest votes from the public.
“I feel like I have so much more to give and I’m ready to find my man. I had the most amazing experience but I wasn’t ready to go yet!” added Elli.
