TailorMed and Tennr have announced a platform integration designed to connect referral automation with medication affordability support for infusion centers and specialty pharmacies.
The partnership pairs Tennr’s referral intake, documentation review, and access workflow automation with TailorMed’s affordability and ongoing patient support tools.
Pure Infusion has been named as the first customer of the integrated solution, giving the collaboration an immediate real-world deployment in the specialty setting.
The companies say the combined infrastructure will help care teams identify patient barriers earlier, reducing the time between a referral and the actual start of treatment.
Both firms argue that patients commonly stall at two distinct points: payer rejections during intake and cost uncertainty once approval is secured.
The integration is intended to address both failure points simultaneously, rather than relying on separate point solutions operating in isolation from one another.
Trey Holterman, CEO of Tennr, explained the core problem his company sees repeatedly in practice across specialty and infusion settings.
“The biggest reason we see patients not getting access to medication is fear and uncertainty around what the medication will cost them personally and what resources they have at their disposal to cover those costs,” Holterman said.
Srulik Dvorsky, CEO of TailorMed, framed the deal as combining two complementary halves of a single patient journey into one connected workflow.
“Getting a patient referred and empowering them to succeed in their medication journey are two halves of the same problem,” Dvorsky said.
“Tennr has built remarkable technology for the first half and we’ve built a vast network and robust solution set for the second,” he added, noting the goal is fewer patients falling between referral and care.
The announcement follows a separate TailorMed partnership with WeInfuse, a software platform for infusion providers and specialty pharmacies, revealed just weeks prior in June.
That earlier deal embedded TailorMed’s medication access network directly into WeInfuse workflows, targeting a similar infusion and specialty audience.
Two access-infrastructure agreements targeting the infusion and specialty setting within roughly two weeks signal how rapidly affordability tooling is being wired into upstream referral and intake systems.
The moves reflect a broader industry shift, with referral, intake, affordability, and adherence functions increasingly consolidating onto shared infrastructure rather than remaining separate solutions.
