If former President Donald Trump returns to Twitter, Elon Musk said he thinks the Biden administration may try to “weaponise” federal agencies against it.
According to NBC News, Trump is pleading with Facebook to unlock his account, which has been barred since the day following the January 6, 2021 uprising.
Before banning him, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg criticised Trump’s “decision to use his platform to condone rather than condemn the actions of his supporters at the Capitol building has rightly disturbed people in the US and around the world,” writing that “the shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.”
Trump is said to be thinking about going back to Twitter now that his account has been restored as a result of Musk’s takeover of the social media site.
After his Twitter account’s ban was lifted, Trump originally said he would stick with his own site, Truth Social.
A week prior to Musk’s statement, The Republican Party’s inquiry into the finances of the Biden family and the charges concerning President Biden’s son Hunter Biden was formally begun by House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman, James Comer.
Additionally, Comer has written letters to former Twitter executives asking them to testify in court regarding their involvement in the platform’s handling of news coverage of data reportedly discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Prior to the 2020 presidential election, Comer claimed that these Execs were involved in “suppressing” the public’s ability to acquire information about the Biden family on Twitter.
