The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, will give an in-depth interview to Tom Bradby for ITV that will air on Sunday.
In it, he will discuss a variety of topics, including his personal relationships, previously unseen information regarding the murder of his mother, Princess Diana, and his future plans.
Prince Harry pleaded to King Charles in an emotional 20-second preview film, saying, “I just want my father back.”
He told Tom: “It never needed to be this way. The leaking…the planting, I want a family, not an institution.
“They feel as though it’s better to keep us somehow as the villains.
“They’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.”
The 90-minute show, created by ITN Productions for ITV, will air two days prior to Transworld’s 10 January publication of Prince Harry’s book Spare.
The book is described as “a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief” by its publisher, Penguin Random House.
Harry: The Interview, which was filmed in California where he currently resides, features the Prince going into unprecedented depth and detail about life both inside and outside the Royal Family.
Prince Harry tells his personal narrative, in his own words while speaking to Tom Bradby, who he has known for more than 20 years.
ITV Director of News and Current Affairs Michael Jermey commented on the tell-all interview, saying: “It is extremely rare for a member of the Royal Family to speak so openly about their experience at the heart of the institution.
“Tom Bradby’s interview with Prince Harry will be a programme that everyone with an informed opinion on the monarchy should want to watch.”
ITN Productions’ Managing Director and Executive Producer, Ian Rumsey, continued: “As viewers will see, Harry’s account of the events includes many details we have never heard before.”
