Saka issues his verdict on Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League

Bukayo Saka has admitted that Arsenal are confident that they can pip defending Premier League champions Manchester City in an intense title-race after their emphatic win over Everton.

Bukayo Saka was once again the focal point in Arsenal’s 4-0 triumph over Everton on Wednesday evening as the forward delivers his honest verdict on the Gunner’s Premier League title chances.

Arsenal crushed Everton 4-0 to improve their goal differential and won their game in hand to take a commanding lead over rivals Manchester City.

Although Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli both scored, Saka’s opening goal once again stole the show.

For the first 35 minutes at the Emirates, Sean Dyche’s Everton appeared uncomfortably resilient, and Mikel Arteta’s record of one victory in six matches against the former Burnley manager may have raised concerns.

While it took 40 minutes for Saka to break the deadlock by receiving a pass from Oleksandr Zinchenko and ripping it into the roof of the net off the outside of his right boot before Jordan Pickford even realised what struck him.

Moments later, the Englishman also assisted Gabriel Martinelli to give the Gunners a two-goal cushion by the end of the first half.

The second half saw Martin Odegaard on the scoresheet while Martinelli hitting a brace to complete the victory.
