Weston McKennie may now be the target of a last-minute move by Arsenal as they continue to scour the transfer market.
Spurs have expressed a lot of interest in him, and it has even been said that he “dreams” of moving to Spurs.
However, a report from Gazzetta claims that Arsenal are now also considering McKennie.
The Italian newspaper reports that a number of other clubs, including the Gunners, are after McKennie.
McKennie’s future at Juventus has already been in doubt. Premier League clubs have been interested in the USA international for a while.
After losing 15 points from their Serie A total, Juventus has been further shaken.
As a result, a number of their players are uncertain about the future.
McKennie is debating his future, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. According to him, he “still hopes a late window bid comes through.”
Despite being bound to his current team until 2025, the midfielder is eager to move on.
Additionally, Juventus is “open to a sale.” In light of this, connections to three Premier League clubs have surfaced.
McKennie might end up at Aston Villa, Bournemouth, or Fulham, among other teams.
However, the name of Arsenal will draw the most questions.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus is open to negotiations for McKennie at a price of around £20 million.
A club like Arsenal wouldn’t be deterred by that kind of cost.
The Gunners are strengthening this month and have already conducted a raid on Italy in an effort to recruit Jakub Kiwior.
McKennie, hailed as a “exceptional” player, performed admirably for the US at the World Cup.
He might now be on the move, though, like so many other Juventus players.
